Please Contact the Committee Members and Thank Them for Voting NO!
On Wednesday, January 23, the Senate Courts of Justice Committee voted down Senate Bill 109, Governor Tim Kaine’s (D) attack on private firearms transactions at Virginia gun shows. This bill would have been a first step toward requiring government approval before individuals may sell their private property, even between family and friends. The bill was defeated by a 9-6 vote, but was referred to the Virginia Crime Commission for further study.
Please be sure to contact the following members who voted against SB109 and thank them for protecting our Second Amendment rights, and please continue to check www.NRAILA.org for further updates on this issue.
