The Roanoke Times is still advocating public access to private information on Right-to-Carry permit holders. This is in spite of the fact that it was their irresponsible act of publishing the names and addresses of permit holders that prompted the legislature to take action. Permit holders have a right to expect their private information to be protected, particularly from organizations like the Times who wish to use that information to advance their political agendas.
