California: Help Fight for the Second Amendment on Wednesday, May 23!

Monday, May 21, 2007

Please Contact Your State Legislators!

Anti-gun hysteria has reached a fever pitch in the Golden State.  The California legislature is considering numerous anti-gun bills this session that, if passed, will have dire consequences for California’s law-abiding gun owners.

Gun-hating zealots have scheduled a “lobby day” at the State Capitol on Wednesday, May 23 to pressure your state legislators to stomp-out our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in California. Gun banners from the Brady Campaign (formerly Handgun Control Inc.) will be lobbying at the Capitol in support of more gun control throughout the day.

Help Protect The Second Amendment in California by Contacting your State Assembly Member and State Senator on Wednesday May 23!

Here’s what you can do to help!

·        On Wednesday, May 23, call, fax, and email the legislature between 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM and voice your opposition to any gun control proposals. Respectfully, tell your Assembly Member and State Senator to oppose any assault on our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

·        Remember, anti-gunners will be visiting the legislative offices at the same time your calls, emails, and faxes will be arriving. To identify and contact your State Assembly Member and Senator click here.   Complete contact lists for the Assembly and Senate are available below.

·        Forward this message to every gun owner you know and include all gun clubs, stores, ranges and Second Amendment groups.  Please cross-post this on the Internet on websites and firearm-related forums.

While there are numerous anti-gun and anti-hunting bills currently pending in the Assembly, two bills (AB 1471 and AB 1634) represent the most immediate threats, as they could be heard on the Assembly floor as soon as Thursday, May 24.

In the Senate, legislators may soon consider legislation, AB 821, to ban the use of lead ammunition for all big game hunting in the range of the California Condor.  This bill has already passed the Assembly and is pending consideration in the Senate.

Help defend your Right to Keep and Bear Arms and hunting heritage in California.  Please call your legislators on Wednesday, May 23 and ask them to oppose any assault on our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage.

TOGETHER, OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD!

TOGETHER, WE CAN STOP THE ANTI-FREEDOM FORCES AND
WIN BACK OUR RIGHTS!
