North Dakota: Public Comments Sought on Management Alternatives for Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge!

Friday, April 6, 2007

The Fish and Wildlife Service has released a draft comprehensive conservation plan for this east-central North Dakota refuge.  The refuge was specifically created for migratory birds and provides hunting opportunities.  The draft plan provides three alternatives for managing the refuge for the next 15 years.

It is important that the refuge hears from hunters to ensure hunting is protected.

The closing date for comments is Monday, April 23rd.  Comments should be directed to Michael Spratt, Chief, Division of Refuge Planning, Mountain Prairie Region, PO Box 25486, Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 80225 or to Michael_Spratt@fws.gov.  The plan is online at mountain-prairie.fws.gov/planning.  For further information call 303-236-4792.
