Senate Bill 702 and Senate Bill 1617, both sponsored by State Senator Mike Gabbard (R-19), passed out of their policy committees with amendments.
SB 702 would allow the owner of a pistol to use any ammunition authorized for use with the pistol by the manufacturer of the pistol. SB 702 would also repeal the prohibition on magazines with a capacity over ten rounds.
SB1617 removes the civil liability from use of a firearm for self-defense while on one's own property.
