Wyoming`s current plan for wolves, once they`re removed from federal protection, is to classify them as predators outside national parks and wilderness areas, allowing them to be shot on sight. That plan has been rejected by the federal government out of concern it wouldn`t do enough to ensure wolves will not again become endangered.
