The first days of session in Wyoming have been busy for pro-gun legislation, as multiple bills advance to the House floor.
Yesterday, February 18th, the House Judiciary committee unanimously passed HB 39, strengthening the state's restoration of gun rights statutes. This is an important step as President Trump and the DOJ are reconstituting the federal petition for restoration of gun rights.
Last week, three additional bills passed out of committee and advanced to the House floor. HB 98 was heard in House Revenue on Thursday, February 12, and passed unanimously. HB 98 strengthens the existing statute prohibiting the use of red flag type laws. On Friday, February 13, the House Appropriations committee passed HB 95 and HB 96, expanding campus carry to include young adults.
