Idaho Right to Carry Reform Bill is Facing Opposition in the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee!

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Your help is needed today!

Senate Bill 1402, which would amend existing law to revise provisions applicable to the issuance of a license to carry concealed firearms, was expected to be heard in the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1.  However, this NRA-backed legislation has been pulled from the agenda and denied a public hearing!

It is critical that you take a moment to contact members of the committee and ask him or her to put this important legislation back on the agenda for tomorrow, March 1!

Sponsored by State Representative Bill Sali (R-21) and State Senator Gerry Sweet (R-20), SB 1402 will help protect and enhance the rights of law-abiding Idaho firearm owners and out-of-state visitors who visit Idaho by motor vehicle and who carry firearms in their vehicle for protection and other lawful purposes.
