SB 109, a bill introduced by pro-gun Senator Scott Thomas (D-2), passed out of the Senate on Thursday, March 10. This legislation provides that a concealed handgun permit held by deployed military personnel remains valid during the term of deployment and for 90 days after the deployment ends. While some had expressed concern that the bill, as originally introduced, did not cover enough military personnel, Senator Thomas amended his bill to ensure it covers all deployed personnel.
