Connecticut Seeks Sunday Hunting!

Tuesday, January 18, 2005

Last week, Rep. John Piscopo (R-Thomaston) introduced HB 5103, a bill to grant limited Sunday hunting in Connecticut.  HB 5103 seeks to allow Sunday bowhunting on private property during the regular deer bowhunting season. Bowhunters must posses written permission from the landowner.  Currently, Connecticut is one of eleven states that either prohibits or heavily regulates Sunday hunting.  At present, the bill is awaiting action in the House Committee on Environment.  The NRA will keep you up to date with developments as they occur.
