Seven weeks ago, Mayor Daley and gun-control advocates suffered a crushing defeat when their lawsuits against the firearms industry were dismissed by the Illinois Supreme Court. On Wednesday, the mayor got up off the canvas and came out swinging with yet another package of gun-control legislation.
