UPDATE ON ANTI-GUN LEGISLATION
AB 50, which would ban the sale and possession of .50 caliber rifles, is currently up for a final vote in the Assembly. It is critical that you contact your Assembly member asking him or her to vote "NO" on AB 50.
SB 1152 was amended earlier this week. Even with slight improvements, SB 1152 would still require registration paperwork and fingerprints when purchasing most types of ammunition! Once again, SB 1152 is headed back to the floor for another vote. Please continue to contact your Assemblyman and Senator and ask them to "OPPOSE" SB 1152.
The following anti-gun legislation could also be voted on; SB 1140, would make it a crime if a minor gains access to your firearm with or without your permission; SB 1733, would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition at the Cow Palace Fairgrounds in San Francisco.
The last day of session is August 31. However, a vote could take place any day on the aforementioned anti-gun bills. It is critical that NRA members and the pro-gun community voice their opposition to any attack on the Second Amendment. You can find contact information regarding your legislator by using the "Write Your Representatives" feature at www.NRAILA.org.
