The Senate gave final approval last week to HB 989, NRA-backed Right To Carry Reciprocity legislation requiring Mississippi to recognize carry permits from states that recognize Mississippi permits. The bill goes to Governor Barbour for his signature. Mississippi permit holders should ultimately be able to lawfully carry and protect themselves in roughly two dozen states as a result of this legislation. Thanks go out to House & Senate sponsors Rep. Warner McBride (D) and Sen. Walter Michel (R) and to everyone who made calls and sent emails in support of HB 989 during the session!
