Even though the guns are not sold by either of the two firearms retailers in their jurisdiction, Contra Costa County Supervisors has voted to ban .50 caliber rifles. Second Amendment supporters` arguments that the ban was "a meaningless ordinance that . . . violates their Second Amendment rights" were ignored by the board, which was more concerned with setting a gun ban precedent.
