A legal showdown Wednesday in Miami over whether former felons in Florida can have their voting rights restored could play a dynamic role in next year`s presidential race. Florida is one of seven states that ban the automatic restoration of ex-felons` voting rights, requiring that they apply to the state`s Clemency Board. The other states are: Alabama, Iowa, Virginia, Mississippi, Kentucky and Nevada.
