Legislation to prohibit hunters in Utah and eight other states from placing piles of rotting food as bait to lure bears in for the kill on federal land has been introduced in the U.S. House. The "Don`t Feed the Bears Act of 2003," would make it illegal to set up bait stations for bear hunting on lands administered by the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
