Plagued by a rash of burglaries, Roanoke, Va., garage owner
John Page began guarding his business at night. When he spotted two
men drive up and begin loading tires into their truck, he fired a
warning shot in the air. When police got to the scene a few minutes
later, Page had both men on the ground and was standing guard. A
police spokesman said, "It tickles me when a citizen catches
somebody and holds them for us."
