NRA MOURNS WITH REST OF NATION

As our nation struggles with the heartache and sorrow of the tragic events of September 11, NRA and its more than 4 million members share in America`s grief, and stand united behind President George Bush and the government of the United States of America.

Our thoughts and our prayers go out to the victims of this heinous act committed against innocent civilians. The families and loved ones of these innocent victims have our most heartfelt sympathies.

We also offer our support to those involved in ongoing search and rescue operations, and encourage NRA members who are able, to offer whatever assistance they can. Even if you are far away from where tragedy struck, please check with local hospitals and Red Cross chapters to see if they are in need of blood donations, or other types of humanitarian assistance. The Red Cross blood donation number is (800) 448-3543, and for financial contributions, you can call (800) HELP NOW (435-7669).

NRA joins in the national expression of outrage over what President Bush has aptly described as an attack on freedom by "a faceless coward." We fully support our nation`s efforts to track down those responsible for coordinating, ordering, or assisting the acts of terrorism committed on September 11, and we hope that American justice is rendered swiftly and decisively.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !
