On Tuesday, February 24th, the House Public Safety Finance and Policy committee will hold a hearing on two all-encompassing ban bills, House File 3433 and House File 3402. Please contact members of the committee and urge them to OPPOSE these bills by using the TAKE ACTION button below.
HF 3433 bans commonly owned gas-operated semiautomatic firearms, directly violating the Second Amendment’s "common use" standard. Anyone who lawfully possesses a banned firearm must register them with the state before May 1st, 2027, and adhere to mandatory storage requirements thereafter.
HF 3402 sets arbitrary magazine capacity restrictions and does not include a grandfather clause. Any magazine capable of holding over 10 rounds will need to be moved out of state, modified, destroyed, or surrendered to law enforcement.
