President Trump Signs the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” into Law

Earlier today, on the 4th of July, a day on which our Founding Fathers declared their intent for a free nation, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” into law, delivering to law abiding gun owners freedom from an unconstitutional and punitive tax on suppressors, short-barreled firearms, and “any other weapons” as defined by the National Firearms Act (NFA).

The bill contains a provision that eliminates the burdensome $200 excise tax imposed by the NFA. For months this bill has weaved its way across Capitol Hill and is now the law.

While the final bill is far from perfect, this bill represents the first major reduction of taxes imposed on law-abiding gun owners in decades and the first significant repeal of NFA provisions since its inception nearly a century ago. Additionally, this legislation opens the NFA to new legal challenges which could finally put an end to the NFA and its infringement on our Second Amendment Rights.

NRA-ILA would like to thank President Donald Trump for his steadfast leadership and unwavering support for the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” and the pro-Second Amendment provisions contained in it.

Our focus now shifts to continuing the fight to remove the other unconstitutional provisions of the NFA in the Congress and the courts. NRA-ILA remains dedicated to preserving and expanding your right to Keep and Bear Arms and will use every tool at our disposal to do so on Capitol Hill and in courthouses and statehouses around this great nation.
