Florida: Governor DeSantis Signs Legislation to Remove 2A Restrictions During Emergencies

Yesterday, May 28, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 6025 into law protecting our Second Amendment Rights during a state of emergency. The new law became effective upon the governor's signature.

NRA thanks Governor DeSantis, the bill sponsors Senator Blaise Ingoglia, Representative Monique Miller, Representative Debbie Mayfield, and the legislators who supported this legislation.

House Bill 6025/Senate Bill 952 repeals automatic prohibitions that violate Floridians’ Second Amendment rights during a state of emergency. The following acts are automatic prohibitions that this legislation repeals: the intentional possession of a firearm in public, the sale of any ammunition or firearms, and the intentional display of ammunition or firearms in a store.
