Tomorrow, February 28th, the House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to debate and vote on a pro-Second Amendment bill, House Bill 674. HB 674 creates an optional enhanced concealed carry permit that will recognize Montanans concealed carry permit in five additional states including WA, MN, NM, SC & DE. This recognizes law-abiding citizens Second Amendment rights as they travel across the country. Please contact committee members now and ask them to SUPPORT HB 674!
Traveling across the country should not prohibit law-abiding citizens from exercising their right to self-dense. As current law stands, Montanans can carry in 25 states and regular concealed carry permit holders can carry in 35 states. If HB 674 passes, Montanans optional enhanced concealed carry permit will be recognized in 40 states additionally adding WA, MN, NM, SC & DE. It does not change who is eligible to obtain a carry permit.
