Alabama Sheriffs Association Working to Stifle your Constitutional Rights

Alabama Sheriffs Association Working to Stifle your Constitutional Rights

Law enforcement is sworn to uphold the state laws and the Constitution, so why is the Alabama Sheriffs Association (ASA) not only lobbying your state legislators against your Constitutional rights, BUT also proudly working with a known anti-gun organization, New York City billionaire Michael Bloombergs Moms Demand Action, that wants to destroy the Second Amendment?

Senate Bill 1 and House Bill 66 will strengthen Alabamians’ right to self-defense by allowing any law-abiding adult who is at least 21 years old and legally eligible to obtain a carry permit, to carry a handgun without first having to obtain government permission.

Regardless of what ASA and anti-gun organizations will tell you, constitutional carry does not change who can legally purchase a firearm. It does not change prohibited person laws or any law governing the misuse of a firearm, including illegal brandishing, discharge, or threatening, among others. It does not affect prohibited places, or when force may be used in defense of self or others. It merely gives law-abiding Alabamians an additional option for self-defense.

Please use the TAKE ACTION button below to respectfully ask your state senator to urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to pass SB 1 so it can come to the floor for a full vote.

Please use the TAKE ACTION button below to respectfully ask your state representative to urge the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee to pass HB 66 so it can come to the floor for a full vote.

Our lawmakers need to know that YOU, a law-abiding constituent, are who they represent in Montgomery, NOT the ASA, and certainly NOT New York City billionaire Michael Bloombergs Moms Demand Action.  A vote for SB 1 and HB 66 is a vote for freedom!

Constitutional Carry is sweeping the nation! 21 states already recognize the constitutional right of their citizens to carry a firearm for self-defense without first obtaining government permission and paying a fee to do so.

Be a part of making Alabama Number 22!

Dont forget to forward this email to your family, friends, and fellow gun owners and urge them to email the committees also, respectfully urging them to SUPPORT HB 66 and SB 1. Alabama needs all its law-abiding gun-owners and Second Amendment supporters to help HB 66 and SB 1 continue to move through the legislative process to the Governors desk!
