South Carolina: House Judiciary Committee Voting on Constitutional Carry Bill

Tomorrow, a subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee will vote on House Bill 3096, The South Carolina Constitutional Carry Act of 2021. Afterward, it is scheduled to move to the full committee for a hearing and vote that afternoon. Please contact committee members and ask them to SUPPORT HB 3096.

House Bill 3096 allows a law-abiding adult to carry a handgun without first having to obtain government permission. This ensures that citizens have the right to self-defense without government red tape or delays. Additionally, this legislation maintains the existing Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP) system, so citizens who still wish to obtain a permit may do so.

Again, please contact committee members and ask them to SUPPORT HB 3096.
