Fairfax, Va. —On behalf of our six million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today endorsed Bruce Poliquin for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2nd Congressional District of Maine.
"Congressman Poliquin is a true champion of our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage," said Chris W. Cox, NRA-PVF chairman.
Poliquin has strongly opposed the Pelosi/Schumer/Bloomberg gun control agenda, including legislation that would criminalize the private transfer of a firearm between life-long friends and many family members. He voted for the strongest Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation ever to come before the U.S. Congress, which would ensure that the nearly 20 million law-abiding Americans who can carry a concealed firearm in their home state are able to legally carry concealed across state lines. Poliquin also supported the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreation Enhancement (SHARE) Act and fought to eliminate an Obama-era regulation that stripped Social Security recipients of their Second Amendment rights without due process.
"Bruce Poliquin will defend our fundamental constitutional rights," continued Cox. "The NRA encourages all members, gun owners and sportsmen in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District to vote Bruce Poliquin for Congress in November."
