Kansas: Governor to Decide on Gun Control Legislation

Today, Governor Sam Brownback received anti-gun legislation, House Bill 2278, for his consideration. The Governor now has 10 days to take action on the legislation. Please continue to contact Governor Sam Brownback and strongly urge him to VETO House Bill 2278.

House Bill 2278 would make it unlawful for individuals to carry a firearm for self-defense into a state or municipal-owned medical care facility, including the Kansas University Hospital. In addition, HB 2278 would prevent the lawful carry of a firearm into community health centers and state or municipal-owned adult care homes. This bill is a solution in search of a problem, and it places an arbitrary boundary on your right to self-defense.

Again, it is urgent that you contact Governor Sam Brownback at 785-296-3232 and strongly urge him to VETO HB 2278.
