On Wednesday, April 26 at 9:00am, the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee is scheduled to hold a public hearing on constitutional/permitless carry legislation, Senate Bill 24. We need your help! Please plan to attend this important public hearing and show your support for SB 24! Additionally, please contact committee members and strongly urge them to SUPPORT your right to self-defense - Senate Bill 24.
SB 24 would eliminate the requirement to obtain a permit in order to lawfully carry. This bill recognizes a law-abiding adult’s unconditional Right to Keep and Bear Arms for self-defense in the manner he or she chooses. Self-defense situations are difficult, if not impossible, to anticipate. Accordingly, a law-abiding adult’s right to defend himself or herself in such situations should not be conditioned by government-mandated time delays and taxes.
