Man With Concealed-Carry Permit Shoots Armed Robber

A man with a concealed-carry license shot and killed an armed robber Wednesday night in Grand Boulevard, police said. At 8:20 p.m., the man was sitting in a car with another man in the 4300 block of South State Street when two men with guns walked up and tried to rob them, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. One of the men in the car, 32, fired his gun, hitting one of the robbers, Pacheco said. The man who was hit was later pronounced dead. His age was not immediately available. The other robber ran away. The 32-year-old man had a valid concealed-carry license, Pacheco said.
