California: 2016 Legislative Session Reconvenes on Monday

On Monday, August 1 the California Legislature will reconvene for the remainder of the 2016 session. As previously reported Governor Brown signed as number of anti-gun bills as the legislature went into summer recess.  For a summary of the recently enacted legislation please click here.   We are currently reviewing all possible action (legal, political, legislative) to stop these anti-gun bills from taking effect.  Click here to view current litigation as prepared by our California legal team.

A grassroots effort to refer the signed legislation to the ballot has started in California. More information on these efforts can be found at http://www.vetogunmageddon.org/

It is important as the legislature enters the last month of regular session that we stay diligent on further efforts to restrict and erode your second amendment rights in California.  Please stay tuned to www.NRAILA.org for updates.
