NRA Launches Ad in Opposition to Ted Strickland

"Second Amendment supporters in Ohio deserve to know that Ted Strickland has sold out our constitutional freedoms for power and money." - Chris W. Cox

Fairfax, Va.— The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today launched its first TV ad in the Ohio 2016 United States Senate campaign. The 30-second ad, titled “Power and Money, ” will air on cable networks statewide.

"Second Amendment supporters in Ohio deserve to know that Ted Strickland has sold out our constitutional freedoms for power and money," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF.

Ted Strickland, who was once "A+" rated and endorsed by the NRA, left office and took a job with a gun–control group that in his words “paid me more money than I’ve ever made in my life.” After receiving his payday, Strickland turned his back on law-abiding gun owners in Ohio and became an outspoken advocate for gun control.

"Ted Strickland supported our constitutional freedoms when it benefited him, and he sold out the Constitution for a high-paying job. Ted Strickland is the embodiment of what Americans hate about Washington D.C. and politicians. He is a hypocrite and a liar," concluded Cox.

Ad Script:

Some people want power. Others’ want money.

Ted Strickland wants both.

When he wanted power, he said the right things. Needed our votes. Even traded on our name to help anti-gun John Kerry

When he needed money, he sold out. Became President of a radical anti-gun group

His Words(audio): “It was a dream job, paid me more money than I’ve ever made in my life.”

Ted Strickland; out for power, out for money, out…for himself.
