The Illinois General Assembly will have to return to Springfield for a summer session because it failed to pass a budget during the regular session. It is important that you contact your state Senator, and also call Senate President John Cullerton (D-6) at (217) 782-2728, and politely urge them to call to the floor and pass SB 206 during this summer session.
Your NRA-ILA worked with pro-gun lawmakers and the American Suppressor Association to pass Senate Bill 206 which would legalize the possession and use of suppressors in Illinois. The House passed SB 206 by a 69 to 46 vote during the regular session and sent the measure to the Senate. Unfortunately, the Senate adjourned before bringing this pro-gun measure to the Senate floor for a vote.
