As previously reported, House Bill 1155 has passed the House and been sent to the Senate for further consideration. This important self-defense legislation has now been referred to the Senate Judiciary C Committee and awaits a hearing.  Please contact committee members and politely urge them to SUPPORT HB 1155 when it comes up for a vote.

Sponsored by state Representative Valarie Hodges (R-Denham Springs), HB 1155 would provide expedited, temporary concealed carry permits for domestic violence victims who have obtained permanent protective orders against their abusers.
