Georgia: Contact the Governor in Support of Important Self-Defense Legislation

Important pro-gun self-defense legislation, House Bill 859,  is heading to Governor Nathan Deal’s desk.  It is critical that you contact Governor Deal and strongly, but politely, urge him to sign HB 859 into law.

Sponsored by state Representative Rick Jasperse (R-11), HB 859 seeks to amend restrictions in state law by allowing law-abiding Georgia Weapons License (GWL) holders to carry when they are in or on certain buildings or real property owned by or leased to any public technical school, vocational school, college, university, or other institution of postsecondary education.  Georgia Weapons License holders do not present a threat to public safety, as they are one of the most law-abiding segments of the population. These individuals should not be prevented from exercising their right to self-defense simply because they choose to seek a college education.

Governor Nathan Deal needs to hear from you TODAY!  Former NYC Mayor and Billionaire Michael Bloomberg and his anti-gun groups are investing heavily in campaigns to defeat this important self-defense measure in the Peach State.  Don’t let their campaign of misinformation prevail.  Contact Governor Deal TODAY and urge him to allow law-abiding Georgia residents to defend themselves by signing House Bill 859 into law.
