The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a hearing to discuss House Bill 500 on Wednesday, March 9, in Room 100 at 9:15am. HB 500 would repeal the current ban on the use of legal firearm sound suppressors while hunting. Please contact members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and your state Senator and politely urge them to support HB 500. As previously reported, sound suppressors attached to firearms are an additional tool available to help protect the shooter’s hearing, reduce noise complaints by surrounding residents, as well as increase accuracy and safety. If passed, New Hampshire would be the 38th state to allow the use of suppressors while hunting.
