West Virginia: Permitless Carry Legislation Sent to Governor Tomblin

Today, February 24, leaders in the West Virginia Legislature orchestrated a procedural move to expedite passage of House Bill 4145 and send this important legislation to Governor Earl Ray Tomblin’s desk.  However, the fight to defend your Right to Keep and Bear Arms is far from over.  Governor Tomblin is expected to veto this legislation next week.  Please contact your state Senator and Delegate and politely urge him or her to vote to override Governor Tomblin's expected veto.  Click the “Take Action” button below to contact your state legislators!

As previously reported, HB 4145 is important legislation that would recognize a law-abiding adult's fundamental right to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense without government-mandated taxes and permitting.

Your NRA-ILA would like to thank all the West Virginia legislators who supported your Right to Keep and Bear Arms today.  Your NRA-ILA would especially like to thank the following legislators for their tireless work on behalf of gun owners in West Virginia:

Speaker Tim Armstead (R-40)
Delegate Saira Blair (R- 59)

Senate President Bill Cole (R- 06)
Senator Craig Blair (R- 15)
Senator Charles Trump (R- 15)
