Missouri: Campus Carry Legislation Heard in Senate Committee Yesterday

Yesterday, January 27, the Missouri Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee heard two bills that seek to expand self-defense laws on Missouri higher education campuses.

Senate Bill 731, sponsored by state Senator Brian Munzlinger (R-18), and Senate Bill 589, sponsored by state Senator Bob Dixon (R-30), seek to remove restrictions in state law that prohibit law-abiding Right to Carry Permit holders from being able to protect themselves on college and university campuses.

Please continue to contact members of the Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee and politely urge them to support these bills when they come up for a vote.  We also urge you to call Senators Munzlinger and Dixon to thank them for sponsoring these important bills.  Your NRA-ILA will continue to update you on these bills as they advance through the legislative process.
