South Carolina DNR Seeking Support for Shooting Range

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hosting a meeting on Monday, December 14 in Eastover to discuss the purchase of a tract of land known as the Indigo Gun Club.  The DNR intends to renovate the range on the property and reopen it for recreational shooting.

The NRA encourages gun owners who live in Columbia, Sumter, Camden, and surrounding areas to attend the meeting and show support for this initiative.   A key to encouraging state fish and wildlife agencies to use sportsmen’s funds to develop or improve shooting ranges is a show of strong support from sportsmen and women.

The meeting details are as follows:

Date: Monday, December 14, 2015

Time: 6:00pm

Location: Crossroads Community Center

2750 McCords Ferry Road (HWY 601) off of HWY 378

                Eastover, SC

If you are unable to attend, please contact Jeff Boyer, DNR Shooting Range Coordinator, at 803-734-3995 informing him of your support of the purchase of Indigo Gun Club or if you have any questions or concerns.
