This evening, May 18, at 6:30 p.m., the Currituck Shooting Club Inc. will be holding a member and supporter meeting. Please attend in support of this range.
As reported here, the Currituck County Board of Commissioners recently met to consider a use permit proposal to allow the Currituck Shooting Club Inc. to operate. Even though the club has met all requirements outlined by the County Commissioners and presented the necessary information properly, the County Board of Commissioners denied the use permit. The board failed to disclose that the range was also required to perform a sound test to verify that they would be operating within the decibel limit as previously set under county ordinance.
Shooting ranges should be accessible to everyone and protected for generations to come.
