Illinois: Your Action Needed NOW -- Urge Your State Representative to Oppose House Bill 2265

Thursday, March 21, 2013

House Bill 2265, sponsored by state Representative Michael Zalewski (D-23), would jeopardize the future of concealed carry in Illinois by imposing severe penalties such as three-year jail sentences for small regulatory violations.  HB 2265 is gaining traction in the state House and a vote on it could occur within the next 24 hours.  Your action is needed immediately!  This bill, along with other draconian measures reported here, is being used by anti-gun legislators led by House Speaker Mike Madigan to derail the future of Right to Carry in Illinois by creating a system set up to trick and ensnare anyone who does choose to exercise their fundamental rights.

Don't let them target law-abiding Illinois citizens for political purposes by passing more gun control laws in Springfield that will only be ignored by criminals. It is important for you to contact your state Representative NOW and urge him or her to OPPOSE House Bill 2265 and any anti-gun amendments proposed to it.

Contact information for your state Representative can be found here.
