Today, Senate Bill 76, that would improve the concealed carry weapon (CCW) firearms qualification process, passed in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Under SB 76, introduced by state Senator James Settelmeyer (R-17), a CCW applicant would only have to qualify with one handgun. Current law requires that CCW applicants qualify with both a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver, should they wish to carry both kinds of handguns.
SB 76 now goes to the Senate floor. Please contact your state Senator today and urge him or her to support SB 76. To find your state Senator and their contact information, please click here.
