Gov. Walker has signed Senate Bill 93 (SB 93), the Personal Protection Act, into law. After nearly a decade of debate and failed veto overrides, Wisconsin finally will join 48 other states that allow law abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons for self defense. Wisconsin will become the 38th state in the nation that has a "shall issue" law, which requires that carry permits be issued to applicants who meet the standards established by the Legislature.
