Missouri: NRA License Plates May Soon be Available in the Show-Me State!

Friday, May 27, 2011

On Friday, May 13, the Missouri General Assembly gave final approval to a Transportation bill that includes provisions for a new National Rifle Association license plate.  House Bill 430 will soon go to the Governor for his consideration.  Should the Governor sign this legislation, NRA members will finally have a personalized license plate in the Show-Me State!

House Bill 430, authored by state Representative Eric Burlison (R-136) and state Senator Bill Stouffer (R-21), would make available a license plate with NRA’s emblem and the words “National Rifle Association” in place of the words “SHOW-ME STATE”.  The license plate includes a $25 fee, which will be used by NRA to further firearm education and training programs.

The NRA will keep you informed as to when the NRA license plates may become available.
