An intruder broke into the home of James Baldwin in Taylor, Texas and attempted to use a knife to rob the homeowner of his cell phone and wallet. During the robbery, Baldwin retrieved a .22-caliber revolver and fired at the criminal, striking him in the side and causing him to flee. Police arrived a short time later and found the wounded criminal hiding in some bushes adjacent to the home.
After an investigation, police believe the robber is responsible for two previous robbery attempts dating back a month. His criminal record also shows previous arrests for drug possession and assault.
