Between 2004 and 2009, the number of women hunting with firearms in the U.S. leaped from 2 million to 3 million, according to the National Sporting Goods Association. The number of women bow hunters climbed from 500,000 to 800,000, and women target shooters rose from 4.3 million to 4.7 million.
