The "no firearms" sign posted at the Cavitt's Creek Recreation Park is coming down. An already advertised public hearing Tuesday by the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors on a proposed ordinance that would allow citizens with a concealed weapons permit to carry a firearm in county parks and recreation areas was essential rendered void Tuesday after the board learned of an earlier adopted state ordinance.
