England: MPs to examine gun laws

British gun laws will come under scrutiny today as MPs assess whether they are "fit for purpose" in the wake of Derrick Bird's killing spree. Leading shooting organizations will give evidence on the legislation and licensing processes that regulate the use of firearms in the UK to the Commons' Home Affairs Select Committee.
