The Philippine National Police is urging firearm holders in the province to avail of the final general Firearms Amnesty Program of the government in order to avoid hassles and inconveniences in the future. A PNP spokesman Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr. said as of this time, the turnout for the processing of unregistered and unrenewed firearms in Negros Occidental is very low with still a month left before the actual amnesty program in October.
