The city of Greenfield, located in MilwaukeeCounty, has proposed ordinances that could restrict your Second Amendment rights. On Monday, June 15th, the Legislative Committee met to discuss possible changes to the city’s municipal code in regard to the carrying of firearms. These proposed ordinances could possibly go beyond state law by enacting firearms bans on city-owned parks and parkways, which would violate Wisconsin’s preemption law. The City Council could debate this issue as early as next Tuesday.
Please contact your Alderperson and urge them to not allow any restrictions on your Second Amendment rights. To find and contact your Alderperson please click here.
