Senate Bill 776 was scheduled to be heard by the Senate Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, April 28. Yesterday, SB776 was pulled from the committee schedule at the request of State Senator Loni Hancock (D-9), the sponsor.
SB776 would mandate the registration of all magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition. The possession of unregistered magazines would be a crime and punishable up to a year in prison.
While this development is a solid step towards defeating SB776, the bill still poses a threat. Please continue checking your email and www.NRAILA.org for updates.
