Today, Friday, March 20, the Kansas Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed Senate Concurrent Resolution 1611. This bill, sponsored by State Senator Mike Petersen (R-28), is a constitutional amendment to guarantee an individual right to keep and bear arms. This House version of this bill, House Concurrent Resolution 5017, is the companion bill to SCR 1611.
